VGLan is not dead

I know VGLan looks like a pretty dark place right now, with everyone leaving and all, but it does not mark the death of this place. It seems like some people have forgotten the basic ways of a forum.

- Flaming is still against the rules. Some people seem to have forgotten about this. I will admit, staff has been a bit lax on this matter, but seriously. Tone down the flames. This includes calling people fags, don't do it.

- Meme spam is tiresome. I enjoy a good Weegee/Lazor picture like every other good member of the Internet, but when recycled 4chan memes are the majority of all posts, it gets boring and boredom leads dangerous places.

- Quality is appreciated. This is a message board, not a chat-room. Posts should be well thought out and add to a discussion, not simply 3 letters or an "I agree"

VGLan, or previous incarnations of the site, have been alive for a few years now. Many forums dissolve in just a few months, or never even take off at all. A site like VGLan is quite rare. It will continue to survive if you all just treat it more like what it's supposed to be: a forum. Not an imageboard, not a chat-room.

So shape up and act better or I'll ban you all forever.

You're looking at this forum as if it's just meant for SMBZ. Members don't just come here for SMBZ. That isn't the case at all.

They can't go exactly back to it, but they can come close. They just don't want to put in the efforts. Like I said, they just want to spam and have fun. And they can't turn that into a new, better made VGLan. The members refuse to be united which results in a negative VGLan that will continue, as you said, to cause a decline in the community. And no one has fixed that yet.
