I wish I could do more moves, but for most characters, 3 is already hard enough to get. NES characters have limited actions.

You're just using 8-bit graphics, right?

yes, no style clashing. Also edits and customs are out of the question, since no spriter can perfectly capture the essence on the 8bit sprite.

I disagree with that. 8-bit theatre did pretty good.
Also, looks like it's going to be a cool game to play. What are you using to make it?

The game looks promising. Hopefully, it works.

If you want as many moves as capable with an NES controller:
A: Basic Attack - Works in all directions both on ground an in air, 8 moves total.
B: Jump - Can use single or double jumps, also used to begin air attacks.
A+B: Special Attacks, Directions allow directed specials.
Select: Shield with no direction, Grab when directed.
Start: Pause
Rolling dodges aren't possible.
..It works. :D
Although, I'm awaiting how this will turn out.

Good, I'd have to not play if you were planning on adding other styles.
